Students who have completed a teacher preparation program that includes initial licensure can add this endorsement by taking a PRAXIS exam or by completing coursework. Depending on your major program preparation, you may need an additional pedagogy PRAXIS exam. Please visit the SD Department of Education website for guidance on which PRAXIS exam(s) to take and the minimum cut score(s) required. Students who complete the English as a New Language minor program at Northern State University will meet the requirements for certification recommendation.
