Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will acquire and demonstrate understanding and proficiency with fundamental concepts of visual art and design. (Cross-curricular Skills: Critical and Creative Thinking; Problem Solving)
- Students will acquire and demonstrate understanding and proficiency with fundamental precepts in art and design history. (Cross-curricular Skills: Critical and Creative Thinking; Information Literacy; Intercultural Knowledge)
- Students will acquire and demonstrate understanding and proficiency with fine art media. (Cross-curricular Skills: Critical and Creative Thinking; Problem Solving; Foundational Lifelong Learning Skills)
- Students will acquire and demonstrate understanding and proficiency with digital art media. (Cross-curricular Skills: Critical and Creative Thinking; Problem Solving; Foundational Lifelong Learning Skills)
- Students will acquire and demonstrate understanding and proficiency with professional methods of practice. (Cross-curricular Skills: Critical and Creative Thinking; Information Literacy; Problem Solving)
All art majors must earn a minimum grade of “C” in all required major courses (including art electives). Those students who earn a “D” (or lower) in a required major course (including art electives) must repeat the course. No art major (BFA/BSEd) will graduate if their GPA within the major is lower than a “C” average (2.0).

Any ART, ARTD, ARTH, ARTM courses except ARTH 100. Maximum of 9 credits in ARTH and ARTM courses. 2-Dimensional Media Emphasis (24 credits)
3-Dimensional Media Emphasis (24 credits)
Interdisciplinary Arts Emphasis (24 credits)
