Accounting Analytics (MS) - Accelerated

ABOUT ACCELERATED PROGRAMS

Students can earn their undergraduate degree and master’s degree in 5 years. As an undergraduate student, students can enroll in 500 level courses instead of 400 level courses. These higher-level courses will count toward both their undergraduate and master’s degrees per approval by the graduate studies office. Then, during their fifth academic year, students will continue and complete their master’s degree program as normal.

Admission Requirements:

  1. 2.75 GPA
  2. Complete at least 90 undergraduate credits
  3. Two letters of Recommendations (If GPA is 3.0 or above, letters of recommendations are not required)
  4. Complete a Program Contract ensuring when both degrees are achieved; the program will meet the course and credit requirements for the CPA exam in the state where they reside on their first day of class.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

The Accounting Analytics master’s degree provides specialized study of data analysis as it relates to decision-making in accounting. It will also give you a competitive edge in an increasingly data-driven business climate, and it offers thorough preparation for the CPA exam. Students who complete this program go on to work as data scientists, financial analysts, forensic accountants, auditors, corporate controllers, and CFOs.

CPA Exam Advisory Note:

Students expecting to take the CPA exam must complete a minimum of 150 credit hours of course work. Please contact your advisor to ensure sufficient credits have been completed to meet the requirements to take the CPA exam.  Students should consult the State Board of Accountancy in the state they wish to take the CPA exam for any other requirements.
