The Business Administration major at NSU provides a comprehensive exploration of all business disciplines. This generalized business major is designed to complement the studies of those students with diverse majors in the liberal or fine arts or education, or for those students seeking flexibility in completion of a business degree.
Student Learning Outcomes

Exit Requirements for Business Majors
In addition to Northern State University graduation requirements, baccalaureate business majors must:
- Complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of course work in the School of Business at Northern State University. Acceptance of course work completed at other colleges and universities will be evaluated by the Dean.
- Take School of Business exit exam
Management Elective (3 credits)
Marketing Elective (3 credits)
Economics Elective (3 credits)
- Any 300/400-level ECON course. NOTE: If students uses ECON 441 to fulfill this requirement, it cannot be used to fulfill the International Business Elective requirement.
Finance and Accounting Elective (3 credits)
International Business Elective (3 credits)
NOTE: If student uses ECON 441 to fulfill this requirement, it cannot be used to fulfill the Economics Elective requirement.
Recommendation for General Education Goal #5 (MATH 114):
It is recommended that MATH 114 or higher be taken to fulfill GE Goal #5.
Degree Requirements (BS) - 9 credits
Quantitative Course (3 credits)
A course in Mathematics with a pre-requisite of MATH 114 or higher.
Additional Course (3 credits)
TOTAL CREDITS REQUIRED: 120 CREDITS
