Early Childhood Birth Through Grade Three Endorsement

Students with a preparation in Elementary Education that includes initial licensure can add this endorsement by taking a PRAXIS exam or by completing coursework. Please visit the SD Department of Education website for more information on obtaining the endorsement with other preparation backgrounds, guidance on which PRAXIS exam to take, and the minimum cut score required. Students who complete the Early Childhood minor program at Northern State University will meet the requirements for certification recommendation. Minor coursework offered at NSU to meet the requirements for this endorsement is listed below.
