Principal Preparation Program

This program meets the National Policy Board for Education Administration. Individuals who have previously attained a MSEd in another education-related field, may complete the additional coursework to fulfill the requirements for this program.

I. Foundation Courses (6 credits)

EDER 761 - Graduate Research and Design 3 credits
EPSY 742 - Psychology of Learning 3 credits

II. Core Courses (12 credits)

EDAD 700 - Models of Educational Leadership 3 credits
EDAD 715 - Theoretical and Practical Framework for Instructional Leadership 3 credits
EDAD 725 - The Principalship: Theory and Practice 3 credits
EDAD 735 - School Law 3 credits

III. Supporting Courses (12 credits)

EDAD 745 - Organizational Behavior for Student Development 3 credits
EDER 765 - Data Driven Decision Making 3 credits
EDFN 742 - School and Community Partnerships 3 credits
SPED 704 - Inclusive Education 3 credits

IV. Internship (2 credits)

EDAD 794 - Internship 1-8 credits (Grades PK-8 1 credit and Grades 7-12 1 credit)
